The Cute is Enough to Melt the Coldest of Hearts Edition:

Oh my heavens, how I love these little kids! I SO wish Heaten was looking at me, but as usual, when the camera comes out he avoids me at all costs. =) I still love, love, love this photo. This very well may be my next gallery wrap!

Fun With Twins Edition:

Have I mentioned lately that three year old twins are awesome {and crazy all at the same time}!

We’re Three Edition:

Ok, so my Twinzies actually turned three in October and I’m just now getting around to finishing up their session. We headed up to Bonnie Springs since we’d never been and they have a little train you can ride. Heaten loves him some Choo Choo so this was a big hit!! They also have a “zoo” that wasn’t so much of a hit - Shenzie was scared of the animals and Heaten just kept saying “Poo-ee, tinky”. I must admit, it DID smell pretty bad.

Normally when I bust out my camera Heaten just hides his face. He doesn’t like looking at the camera so when I am trying to photograph him I go into Stealth Mom Mode, or SMM. Shenzie on the other hand is a little cheese ball and loves to pose for me. Ha, see below for Shenzie Posing 101:

This day was the exception and I didn’t have to bust out SMM even once! Heaten was just so happy to be out and about with Daddy and Mama that he laughed, giggled, played, and even let me photograph him.

*On a side note, Las Vegas SUCKS! These photos were taken at Bonnie Springs in their Old Town and “Zoo” area. I had grand plans to do an engagement session there this spring until I found out they charge $350 to shoot there. $350!?!?!?!? Seriously, that is just insane. Highway robbery and absolutely ridiculous.

Handsome and Happy! This little dude was so wonderful to work with (as were his Mama’s, but more on them later). He was jolly as could be even though it was pretty cold out. I know I’m not the only one wanting to eat him up with a spoon!!

Those beautiful brown eyes will just suck you right in!

His Mama is VERY fashionable and brought along this cute little cowboy hat, adorable right?!?

Thank you so much Mama’s J&T for letting me photograph your family. I seriously had such a hard time narrowing down your photos, I just loved them all!

Stay tuned for Part II of this beautiful family (showcasing Mama’s) later this week.

The Twinzies at Age Three Edition:

This fall when work got out of control busy I basically stopped taking pictures of my own kids which really makes me sad. Back in the day I used to take hundreds of photos of them each week (I’m not exaggerating, it was almost a sickness). Then I got busy and that all dramatically changed.

I am now making it a point to take out my camera daily (although I’ll be happy with every couple of days to be quite honest) to capture the silly, crazy, and funny moments. The time is going by so quickly and I want to remember each and every tiny little detail [like Shenzie talking and laughing with her baby bear].

On a side note, how cute is my new brown wicker chair!?!?! Too bad Shenzie and Heaten think it is theirs, it should be interesting the next time I need to take it for work. =)

Choo Choo Train Edition:

Heaten LOVES this picture with the Choo Choo’s “Nose”. It is so cute when he yells out CHOO CHOO NOSE and then points to his own nose. Of course Heaten LOVED the train ride. Shenzie was a bit more sketchy (and by sketchy I mean scared and crying). Of course now that we’re not on it anymore she talks about it all the time and tells me she “loved” the ride too. =)

Meet Little Miss M, my recently turned two niece. How I love her so. Isn’t she a beauty!!?

I LOVE the blue pettiskirt with her bright blue eyes.

Little Miss M is quite the serious child as you can see in the photos above, but soon enough she was laughing and running and having a grand old time. That is, until the park ranger kicked us out. Oops. Busted. I swear, I’ve shot here MANY times and NEVER once read the boardwalk signs. Of course I saw them, I just never bothered to actually read them. Apparently you are NOT supposed to get off the boardwalk and frolic in the grass.

Oops. Frolic we did. I’m only glad we did our frolicking before getting busted by the PoPo. There is a tiny snail that only lives in this area that must be protected. Sorry snails, we trampled all over your grass and really, I don’t feel all that bad because the photos are beautiful. {sigh} I guess I won’t be leaving the boardwalk any time soon since I don’t want to get busted again.

Little M is fearless. She got splinters, scraped on the rock she tried to scale, dirty from throwing rocks and dirt everywhere, and still just kept on going. This little girl has ENERGY!!! Oh to be 2 again. =)

Thank you Sissy and MM for letting me play in the grasses with you - I’m so glad you love your photos as much as I do!!
