Thank you all for your comments! I wish I could choose all of you for a free session, but of course that just isn’t possible.

So the winner as drawn by Shenzie is…………………….

BETHANY SCHILDER!!!

Congratulations Bethany! I can’t wait to see you and meet Paul. I will be in touch shortly to set the date and choose a location.

In honor of all of you love birds I am running the following special thru February 28th.

Baby Bump Edition:

Thank you so much Mama L for letting me photograph such a special, wonderful time. I can’t wait meet and photograph Baby [and of course see you and Daddy again]. =)

I know from experience that being pregnant is NOT comfortable and you DON’T feel pretty. It is however a precious and wondrous time. I am so happy beautiful Mama G contacted me to do her maternity (and upcoming newborn) photos.

As you can see she is beautiful and even though I know she can’t be comfortable, you’d never know it by looking at these photos.

She is having a little girl and I can’t wait to get Baby R wrapped in this same scarf. Too precious.

As you know I love me some color photos, but these just screamed something a little different to me. I love that she calls this her “Sergeant Pepper” shirt. =)

Thank you SO much Mama G for letting me photograph such a precious time. I can’t wait to meet Baby R!!

You always hear about the glow that pregnant woman have. I didn’t feel “glowy” when I was big as a house carrying twins, and I’m sure many mothers will agree that having a giant belly doesn’t make them feel glowy and pretty. I can’t say how Miss J feels, but I’m sure you’ll agree she is very “glowy”. =)

We took some indoor “studio” portraits {those are for Mama and Daddy’s eyes only} and then headed to the park for some fun color and sun.

This beautiful soon to be Mama was definitely glowing - inside and out. She was super sweet and didn’t mind showing off her cute baby bump.

She is 38 weeks pregnant and beautiful. Looking at her and her belly made me *almost* miss being pregnant. There is nothing like feeling your baby move inside your belly.

And of course I always have a favorite from each session. Here it is:

Mama J, your gallery will be done VERY soon. Enjoy your sneak peek - you look radiant and beautiful, I hope your photos make you feel that way!

Maternity Edition:

As promised here are more photos from Lisa’s session.

It was quite the challenge chasing little Dax around while taking photos, but somehow we managed (a little bribery with candy helped tremendously). =)

Isn’t she beautiful!?!? Lisa is awesome - five kids all delivered natural and as I type this she in labor doing a home birth.

GOOD LUCK LISA! I can’t wait to meet new baby girl!!!!

There are challenges unique to each age of photographing babies/children. Trying to get the newborn to sleep. Trying to get the pre-sitter to stay on their belly. Trying to get the crawler to sit for 2 seconds. Once they start walking, forget about it. From the time kids learn to walk until they are old enough to be bribed is one of the most difficult ages. Difficult or not I love it! I love chasing the kids around. At this age they express exactly what they are feeling whether it is happy, sad, or very angry. You have to work hard to get the photos, but when you do it is well worth it.

Mama Lisa warned me that little D was a handful and never sits still. Of course I waved her off. What two year old does sit still? Mine certainly don’t, thats for sure. Little did I know she was NOT exaggerating in the least. Little D was Mr. Speedy!!!

Poor Mama is about ready to give birth to her (she’ll probably kill me for saying) FIFTH child. Remember Beautiful Girl Ashley from the post below? That is her oldest daughter. All I can say is WOW! Lisa looks amazing!! But man oh man, she must be exhausted chasing lively D around.

He was such a sweet little boy. Running around laughing:

Until he saw the camera and that was that. He wanted nothing to do with it or me from that point on.

Lucky for me he is adorable even when serious!!

*Check back later this week for more of Beautiful {tired} Mama this week.
