I should warn you that this post is going to flood your eyes with images, I just could not stop when it came to editing this session. Meet my good friend Magnolia and her amazing family. You may remember those cute faces from our session last year (also at their amazing property). This was our second attempt at photos as our first got winded and rained out. The day was gray, gray, gray…..luckily the rain held off long enough for us to play, play, play. Hahah, my brain thinks in rhymes these days with all of the Bob book reading my kids are doing. I may be a bit biased since I love this family so much, but this ranks right up there with my very favorite sessions. Seriously, how could it not when it started off like this…



Matt and Magnolia’s home and property are full of amazing little creatures, fun mushroom groves, slides, swings, and grass galore. I felt like I was in a little mini wonderland. As a side note, they got the awesome masks above from the Oregon Country Fair held the second weekend in July by Eugene (I am determined to go next year).





The day was filled with laughter, smiles, swinging, and even a bit of flying. Thank you so so much M family for another wonderful session that makes my heart smile. Your family is truly special and I’m so happy I got to capture a sweet moment of it for you.

I have been so excited to share this session!!! Meet my beautiful friend Adeline and her amazing family. I love this family and was so excited to spend the day hanging out with them as a new family of 5.



*Sidenote….if you have young kids and do not have this book Tickle Monster go get it STAT! It is the cutest little book with big old furry hand puppets, LOVED it!




After lots of jumping, playing, and laughing we headed outside for some play in the park. Sigh, these little faces I just love so much. Little Beckett is one of my very favorite little dudes. His smile lights up his entire face and he gives the best monkey hugs in town!!

Thank you so much for not one, but two fun afternoons!! Love ya Mama and love your awesome family too!!

You may recognize this family from the many past sessions we’ve had, I can’t even say how much fun I have with them. It’s not often I get kids asking me to take their pictures instead of running from my camera. =) Love love love this family, their energy, their love and connection. These kids are something special and I’m bummed I don’t see more of them (let’s change that Jamie!!).



So yeah, behold the awesomeness of the ‘F’ Family and our walk from Jackson’s Corner to Between the Covers (a super cute and cozy bookstore on Delaware. They also sell google ebooks, candy, and have free wi-fi, so go check them out)! I had so many favorite photos like this one of the kids being rockstars….

I always know hanging out with with Jamie and her family is going to be super fun and full of laughs and smiles, and as you can see, they didn’t disappoint. Mama is always smiling and hanging out with her leaves you feeling motivated, energized, and happy. On top of being an awesome Mom to these three, she is also lucky enough to love her job as a pure romance consultant (her parties are rad and super fun) and is currently training to be a Zumba instructor, her newest passion. Whew, I’m tired even writing all of that. =)


Thank you so much guys, for another rad session, can’t wait to see these hanging on your walls!!

After 23+ years in Vegas I was ready to get the hell outta dodge! When we moved to Bend we did not know one person (outside of the real estate agent), but I was lucky enough to meet the awesomeamazingwonderfulicious (don’t lie, you know you like how I make up words) Tara within my first few weeks of moving and thank goodness I did! She is one of the kindest and raddest girls, and has the biggest heart you’ll ever see. On the flip side she will kick your ass if you fall out of line, so you better watch out. =) You’ve seen her family before here, here, and here. Ha, can you tell I just love this family!!! This session proved to be just as fun and crazy as the last few, just how I like them. =) I was super impressed with K’s mad skate skills at the ripe age of 4! And how stinking cute is little sister (busted up lip and all).

The other day I ran across this article that every mother should read. When I read it, I almost cried, ok, truth be told, I probably did tear up a bit. It touched the Mommy in me, but it also touched the photographer in me. You know how I just love to bully my client Mom’s into photos. In an effort to practice what I preach I had Jeff grab my phone this morning to capture our morning cuddles on the couch….snug as a bug in a rug.

Not the best photo I’ve seen (haha), but I’d rather have a crappy iphone photo with my no makeup and bedhead than no photo at all. This was truly a perfect moment, the only thing missing was Daddy on the couch with us. As my kids get bigger (holy crow they are 6! more on their birthday party later), I know sweet cuddles like this will be fewer and fewer. I cherish every cuddle I get, despite having to watch Barbie Princess on TV, since the amazing cuddles take up all hands leaving none free to hold my kindle.

You may have noticed a change in my newborn sessions recently. I used to lug around my giant beanbag, backdrop stand, boxes and boxes of blankets, hats, bows, and tons of props. It was ridiculously tedious and was sucking the life out of what I love to do, photograph. I decided to change up my newborn sessions and leave the baggage at home, literally. Instead we’ll use your awesome home and the things in it as inspiration for our session. It will be uniquely you, full of cuddles in bed, lounging in your yard, and hanging in baby’s room. The focus is more on the entire family, their connection. I was super excited when I was chosen to photograph this sweet little cutiepie. The minute I walked in the front door I was in heaven. Their home was gorgeous, full of bright fun color, and unique artwork. Mom is just gorgeous, kind, and serene, and dad was not too shabby looking either. =) I had an amazing time watching this new family of three interact with the new love of their life. Thank you so much W family for inviting me into your amazing home and letting me cuddle your precious little boy.

Wendy is also a Naturopathic Dr at Glow Medicine. While I haven’t [yet] had the pleasure of working with her in this capacity, I know it will be an amazing experience as she is such a kind and sweet person.
