Meet Miss Z. She was pure perfection (as I’m sure her parents would agree). I LOVE to photograph children, and I especially love to photograph newborns. Every baby is a miracle and it is so special to be able capture all of the sweet moments of a newborn. My favorite shot of the day is the very first photo I took:

It doesn’t get any cuter and sweeter than that!

After a brief sleep she decided she wanted to get up and play. Most newborns like to be swaddled tight and scrunched up, but not this one. She loved to be naked and stretched out.

I always ask the parents if there are any “must have” shots. This was one of theirs:

One of the best things about photographing a newborn is to see the awe and love of the parents.

Bringing home your baby is a feeling you will never forget, thank you so much J &J for letting me share in yours.

*Part II of Baby Z coming tomorrow so check back for more adorable cuteness!!

BFF Edition:

One of the great things about having twins is they’ll always have each other.

If you’re looking for a photo session now is the time to do it, the weather is perfect!!!! I only have one session left for April* and am currently booking for May. Give me a call or shoot me an email to schedule your session before this gorgeous weather turns hot hot hot!!!

*The exception is for newborns. The window to shoot newborns is so small (in the first 5-10 days) that even though I am booked I will squeeze your little one in.

Baby Blues Edition:

How could I ever resist these beautiful baby blues?

Smooch Edition:

I always have a favorite photo from each session. It was a toss up with this session.

I LOVE this photo as well. The passion, love, romance, and love, and love, and passion. Did I mention love and passion?

I’m telling you, I love so many photos I had to break it up into separate posts. Photographing adults, (with no children around) is SO much different than chasing toddlers around or trying to sneak a photo of Mom and Dad with kids running underfoot. I’m not big on posing people. I like my photos to feel natural and “un”posey. I figure if you want the posey posey shots you can go to Kiddie Pictures and get them done. I like to capture real life moments that really show off the little ones personalities. However, photographing adults you are at times forced to pose them to get certain shots. What I loved about this session was while some were posed they don’t have a forced pose look to them and D and J really were perfect in front of the camera. Relaxed, fun, playful, and silly.

Here are a few more of my favorites:

Re-creating the proposal. Awwwwww, so sweet.

I love this photo. You can really feel the love they share.

Mo0chas Smo0chas!

Heartbreak Hotel.

Awww. Pre Wedding Love. So sweet and innocent.

Give it a couple of years and this is how they’ll look:

Haha. Just kidding. I’ve been married for six years next month and I still feel the love and passion with my hubby (although sometimes he does make me want to strangle him). =)

*And once more check back tomorrow for my two very favorite photographs from D and J’s session.

My sister and I had our first Engagement Session last weekend. We both agree we couldn’t have had a more perfect couple to photograph. They were beautiful (and handsome), fun, funny, and open to all of our experimenting. I really had a hard time narrowing down what photos to pick so be prepared for photo overload.

Sorry men, this one is taken!!

Her ring was so beautiful!!

And even though I know these shoes were not comfortable, she totally rocked them!

Thanks D and J for such a fun session!! I hope you love your photos!

*Check back tomorrow for more of D and J’s engagement photos!!!
